Got to sleep in for an extra 1.5 hours, was presented with my Father's Day Breakfast consisting of toast, waffles, eggs, sausage and hash (life expectancy just dropped by another year), and opened gift boxes containing undershirts, children books to read to Jack as well as what I sincerely hope will be my yearly shirt/hat combination announcing "World's Greatest Dad" or something to that effect. It's silly, but that hat and shirt is probably my favorite gift each year.
The rest of the day was spent splashing about with Jack outside, blowing bubbles, and having a great barbecue dinner with my father-in-law and family. My nephew/godson gave me a nice bottle of wine, and at the end of the night the Missus and I watched about half of AFTER THE THIN MAN before falling off to sleep, capping off a great Father's Day.
You know...this whole "having a child" thing is really working out rather well.
