Book of the Month for May

May wasn't particularly tough when choosing the Book of the Month, but it wasn't clear cut either. If I were selecting purely on which book gave me the most pleasure reading it, then The Android's Dream would have won hands down. But Plowing the Dark by Richard Powers was not only great, but there were numerous paragraphs I would read over and over, just to remark over how wonderfully written they are. It was a harder book to read, but ultimately the language won me over.
